Dr. Christa Kahuda

We were so pleased when Dr. Kahuda joined our practice in June 2008.  Dr. Kahuda is a graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and is new to South Carolina. Dr. Kahuda was a high school mathematics teacher for three years prior to returning to school to become a veterinarian. Dr. Kahuda is obviously an animal lover, but has a special place in her heart for our feline friends.  

 Dr Marci Sauls

Dr. Sauls joined our team in January 2011. She is a 1996 graduate of University of Georgia. Dr. Sauls has been working in general medicine and emergency medicine in North Carolina and has decided to move to the Lowcountry to be near her family. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her two cats: Hobbes and Sal and a brittany spaniel.

 Dr. Jamie MacGeorge

Dr. MacGeorge is a 2010 graduate of Kansas State University. He and his wife, Claire, recently moved here from Nebraska. They are looking forward to enjoying the lowcountry and especially the beaches with their Rodesian ridgeback mix, Rufus.

Dr. Shannon Barrett

Dr. Barrett is originally from South Carolina and completed her undergraduate studies at Clemson University.  She then moved to California where she attended veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences. She moved here to join our team after practicing emergency medicine in Annapolis, Maryland.  Dr. Barrett really enjoys emergency medicine and surgery. She and her husband, Adam, enjoy sailing, kayaking, and everything coastal. They are proudly owned by a giant German shepherd, Sullivan, and an orange cat, Kudzu.
